Welcome to Year 6

with Mrs Blackburn and Miss Wray

As the final year of Key Stage 2, Year 6 is an exciting and important time for our pupils. We support children to grow in confidence, independence and responsibility as they prepare for the next stage of their education. Our aim is to nurture motivated learners who are ready to embrace new challenges, think critically and take pride in all that they achieve.

Throughout the year we build on the strong foundations developed in earlier years, securing key skills in reading, writing and mathematics while offering a broad and inspiring curriculum. Lessons are engaging and purposeful, with opportunities for practical activities, outdoor learning and collaborative projects that bring learning to life. We encourage children to set high expectations for themselves and to show resilience when faced with new challenges and prepare them for a smooth transition to secondary school. We look forward to working closely with families to ensure every child enjoys a happy, successful and memorable final year at Robin Hood Primary School.
