Welcome to Year 2!
This is a very important stage of your child’s primary school experience as their final year in Key Stage One. To some parents this might seem like an emotional time as your child reaches the end of their time as an infant begins preparations for Key Stage Two. However, although we keep in mind the goal for the end of the year, this is a wonderful year. In Year Two, we begin to work more independently as we work towards reaching the end of KS1. The children begin to flourish as they see themselves as independent learners and enjoy exploring through practical experiences and written ideas.
